Need A Contract? Have You Tried Our Solicitation Request?

For some time now, Mohave has had a place on its website that members can log onto and make a request for a solicitation. This place can be found under "Purchasing Services," and then under "Member Info" click on "Solicitation Request." We believe this section is perhaps the most underutilized of all of our Mohave web services, and we want to change that. We are definitely here to look at your needs and offer contract solutions where it makes sense for us and you.

You are given a input screen to place a solicitation request. These requests are looked at several times a month. How does Mohave's Contracts Team review each request? Mohave considers the following questions when determining whether to contract for new materials, equipment, services, or construction:

1)		Does the request appear to offer a viable contract opportunity for Mohave's membership?
2)		Does this appear to be material, equipment, service, or construction with purchase volume sufficient to support a contract?
3)		Can a quality competitive procurement solicitation be developed for the requested material, equipment, service, or construction?
4)		Is it reasonable to anticipate that such a solicitation would result in a quality contract?
5)		Would Mohave be able to successfully manage such a contract?
6)		Other considerations applicable to the requested material, equipment, service, or construction.

Additionally, if a solicitation is issued, there is no guarantee that a recommended manufacturer and/or vendor will be awarded a contract.
