Thank You for Visiting
Mohave’s Booth at the Arizona Association of School Business Officials
2023 Summer Conference
by Mohave Team
Thank you for stopping by our booth at this year’s Summer AASBO Conference. It was fantastic to visit with our school district members and contract vendors. Mohave’s staff understands the importance of what we do to serve Arizona school districts by working with our contract vendors. Our goal is to provide members with quality, compliant contracts that offer products and services that benefit our communities from a new school building to textbooks and computers to healthy breakfasts and lunches for the future generation. Remember, it’s not just at conferences we look forward to hearing from you. You can always contact Mohave at 928-753-6945 or ASPIN Food Cooperative at 520-888-9664.
Seeking Mohave Member Evaluators
by Contracts Team
Mohave will soon be sending out our Annual Member Survey. One of the questions on the survey is “Who is interested in joining Mohave on an evaluation committee?” The answers to this question are especially important to the Contracts Team. We understand the time commitment for some of the solicitations and try to work with everyone’s schedules. However, the Contracts Team benefits from our members’ insights as end users. And we hope you learn something more about Mohave’s processes.
If you are interested in working with the Contracts Team as an evaluator, please email contracts@mesc.org.
Beyond the Contract: ASPIN –
Lifetime Foundation Partnership
by ASPIN Team
ASPIN Members: are you aware that you have access to Lifetime Foundation tools as a value-add of your ASPIN membership? The Lifetime Foundation focuses on sustainable, impactful change in nutrition and movement. Green Onion is the software platform of the Lifetime Foundation. Lifetime utilizes it to assist schools in serving students the most nourishing, delicious food possible in their care. ASPIN has partnered to offer this free online tool for Child Nutrition Professionals to analyze their products for ingredients of concern based on the Ingredient Guide for Better School Food Purchasing. Users of this tool can find alternatives and track progress towards eliminating unwanted ingredients and limiting watched ingredients. Lifetime also provides access to free Nutrition Lesson Plans called Hooray4Healthy aimed at Grades 1-4.
To create your district account, visit mesc.org/aspin and click on the Green Onion Lifetime Foundation banner ad. Please reach out to Tami if you have any questions about the program.
