Wow, where did 2023 go? Yes, we are nearing the end of another year and soon the Holidays of the season will be upon us. Even though the Holiday Season in the public sector sometimes translates into additional days out of the office or office closures, we at Mohave are still at the helm to provide customer service. However, Mohave does observe the upcoming holidays to allow time for our staff to be with their families.
Below are our office closings for November and December:
- Veterans Day – Friday, November 10
- Thanksgiving Day – Thursday & Friday, November 23 & 24
- Christmas – Monday & Tuesday, December 25 & 26
- New Years – Friday & Monday, December 29 & January 1
We wish everyone safe and happy holidays during the upcoming months. Should you be in the office while some of your agency is closed, feel free to reach out to us at any time if you have any questions.

ASPIN Provides Administrative
Review Support

The Arizona Department of Education is required to conduct Administrative Reviews for all School Food Authorities (SFAs) operating the National School Lunch Program (NSLP) and School Breakfast Program (SBP), along with other USDA-funded programs managed by the SFA. This comprehensive review comprises both off-site and on-site components, during which the review team requests documentation and observes meal service.
Mohave ASPIN is ready to offer assistance. Our team has decades of experience in school meal support and operations. We have a wealth of data available on our website: mesc.org/aspin. On the Road Again

Mohave’s staff is on the road again over the next two months. This month we will be traveling down to Tucson to participate in NIGP Copper Chapter’s Reverse Vendor Trade Show. The event is being held at the Tucson Convention Center on November 14, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. with registration for vendors starting at 8:30 a.m. Mohave appreciates getting to know those vendors in the southern part of Arizona. The Copper Chapter puts on a great event.
In December, Mohave will be participating in Arizona School Boards Association annual conference. The event is being held at the JW Marriott Desert Ridge Resort in Phoenix on December 6-8, 2023. We look forward to networking with school board members who work to provide Arizona’s future generations with quality education and facilities.
