Laura De La Rosa, Marketing Manager

Work Life:
How did you get into marketing?
— From a young age, I was fascinated by commercial messaging—how companies crafted their stories and leveraged sponsorships to build brand awareness, especially in sports. That curiosity eventually led me to discover communication studies as a field of study. While pursuing my degree, I found my niche in sports marketing, and it’s been a passion of mine ever since. If you could change one thing, professional or personal, what would that be?
— I would change when I went to college. Due to COVID, I was not able to finish my internship with United Way of Southern New Mexico. What are you most excited about with your move to Mohave?
— The culture change is what excited me the most. To hear how everyone is very supportive of one another, not just in their professional life but their personal as well.Personal Life:
Kids?
— I have one son, Trevor Henry, who is the light of our lives. You can usually find us spending time together in the pool or out on the football field.Pets?
— I have one grumpy old man that kept me on routine during COVID. He is a mini schnauzer/mini poodle mix. He goes by many names Macka-Macka, Sh-macks, Macky boy. His name is Malcom, but we generally just call him Mack.Dream vacation spot?
— My dream vacation spot will always be Sedona. It’s a place I love to return to, and it’s especially meaningful because I got married there. Every time I visit, I leave feeling refreshed and recharged—ready to dive back into life at home in Tucson.

Thank you for your feedback in our recent survey. You told us the cover letter wasn’t giving you the details needed for faster processing, so we redesigned it to make the most important information clear and easy to find at a glance.
The new cover letter highlights key details for both members and contract vendors.

For Contract Vendors |

ASPIN Members Explore Fresh Ideas
by ASPIN Team
Last month, a focus group of Mohave members joined ASPIN and Shamrock Foods representatives on a tour of the Taylor Farms Southwest Processing Facility in Tolleson. This facility is essential to processing, packaging, and delivering fresh, ready-to-eat produce to local customers, including schools. With fields in Yuma, Arizona, and Salinas, California, Taylor Farms is a reliable year-round vendor for Shamrock Foods.
Members toured the facility to see firsthand how produce is washed, cut, packaged, and prepared for schools and foodservice. The tour culminated in a roundtable concentrated on innovative approaches in child nutrition programs. The result was focused on convenient meal packs and an increased variety of individually wrapped products. This process ensures our members not only learn about new possibilities but also contribute to the direction of future offerings.
We are grateful for the partnership with Taylor Farms and the commitment to listening to the needs of our members. Together, these efforts will support schools and the evolving needs of their feeding programs.
