MOHAVE STAFF: KRISTY HAMM

Kristy Hamm, CPPB

Contract Specialist I

I have a rather diverse background. In high school and college, I volunteered all of my free time to Gilbert Police Department in my pursuit of a law enforcement career. I became a Civilian Investigator working on runaway juvenile, and missing person cases, and assisted with Property Management for the Detectives Division. Upon starting a family, I chose to move into the legal field, working as a Legal Secretary for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office, and then as a Mesa Police Department Criminal Investigations Secretary. Life changes brought me to the world of education for 20 years. I worked as a school secretary, warehouse worker, warehouse/ fixed assets manager, IT secretary, buyer assistant, and finally Procurement Specialist Manager. Over the years I worked for three different school districts ranging in size from seven schools to the largest district in Arizona with over 104 sites. Having worked with Mohave Cooperative as a member, I was very excited about the opportunity to write contracts for all Mohave members. I hope to bring my legal and education experience to the table to ensure the contracts written will fulfill all the compliance requirements needed by our members.

I’m originally from Oklahoma with a short four years lived in Saudi Arabia; however, I have lived in the Metro-Phoenix area for the last 35 years. In my free time, I enjoy playing Pokemon Go with my two adult sons, traveling with my family, woodworking (particularly scroll saw), as well as selling my crafts at local pop-up markets.
