Ms. Bearden is currently a Construction Contracting Officer in the Engineering Department for Central Arizona Project. She has over 18 years of procurement and contract administration experience working with several State agencies and municipalities. This has provided her the opportunity to gain extensive experience working with design and construction services, professional services, commodities, and interpreting state laws and regulations pertaining to procurement. Ms. Bearden is a Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB) through the Universal Public Procurement Certification Council (UPPCC) and is an active member of the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP). She is currently the chairperson for the Education and Professional Development committee with the NIGP and has served in various other committees in the past. Ms. Bearden is also a licensed Realtor in the State of Arizona and volunteers with several charitable organizations throughout the year such as Hospice of the Valley, St. Vincent de Paul, American Cancer Society, New Life Center and American Red Cross. Ms. Bearden is committed to the procurement profession and believes in always being fair, honest and having high ethical standards.
